Britney Spears makeup tutorial inspired by Circus

I’ve been really enjoying makeup tutorials on YouTube lately so I thought you might enjoy learning yet another way to get a great but very wearable Britney Spears makeup look.

In this tutorial they use the “Circus” video as the inspiration and explain in really great detail what sorts of colors to try and how to apply them so you can get a look similar to Britney’s in the video.

Swedish newspapers want to boycott Britney Spears concert

Some Swedish newspapers are threatening to boycott Britney Spears’ concert when she performs in Stockholm on July 13th if she doesn’t lift some of the conditions that have been laid out to the press.

A contract was put forth stating that the photographers aren’t allowed to resell their images, nor can they re-run them more than 30 days after the concert date. This is making the papers so unhappy that they’ve retaliated by insisting they’ll boycott the show altogether, likening it to telling critics that they can only be flattering.

I’m confused by this story. I don’t think the contract sounds unreasonable. If the newspapers refuse to cover the concert, I really think they’re just cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Britney Spears rumored to be converting to Judaism for her boyfriend

Britney Spears never seems to escape rumors, but at least this one isn’t malicious - it’s just… a little bit odd to me.

Supposedly, Britney wants to convert to Judaism for the sake of her boyfriend Jason Trawick. The unnamed (of course) insiders claim that she has started consulting a rabbi for guidance and has been wearing a star of David around her neck. The word is that she wants to give her man’s religion a whirl to see what it’s like.

I’m all for exploring faith and finding what works for you and I certainly support Britney if she truly does want to attempt converting. Many people in history have converted to one religion or another for love.

I just don’t see why the star of David necklace automatically means that she’s converting. Isn’t it possible that she’s simply wearing it as a symbol of Jason’s beliefs and not necessarily her own?

I’ll bet Britney has a good laugh sometimes over all the rumors that float about in her name!

Behind the scenes of Britney Spears’ Candie’s ads

There are a couple more photos of Britney Spears in her Candie’s ads available today. I’m really loving the Fall 2009 looks very much, they’re all clothes that I would wear myself.

I have to agree with Britney, that little black lace dress is absolutely fabulous! I know I’d buy that in a flash if there was a Kohl’s near me.

Britney Spears visits the Eiffel Tower

While in Paris, Britney Spears made sure her sons got a traditional French tourism experience by taking them to the Eiffel tower. I’ll bet that made the day for other visitors - they got to see a Parisian monument AND Britney at the same time!

The kids are getting such a great experience because of the arrangement that Britney has with Kevin Federline. They get to spend a ton of time with each of their parents, and they’re getting to see some great stuff along the way. They might be too young to really appreciate it now but when they’re older they’ll probably be able to remember at least some of it and it might encourage them to travel as well.

Britney Spears’ new Candie’s ad

I know that in general a woman would prefer to be called beautiful or pretty or even sexy but I have to use this word right now - Britney Spears looks *adorable* in her new ad for Candie’s! Look at this!

The new Fall campaign features a lot of classic pieces and are sold at really reasonable prices. That’s always a great bonus, because Britney has a lot of young fans who can’t necessarily shell out $300 for a sweater, you know? It’s fun when you can look at your idol, see what she’s wearing, and then go buy the same thing.

Britney also wore some Candie’s pieces for the “Radar” video. She said, “I was so excited to wear Candie’s in my ‘Radar’ video. I especially loved their jeans and cute dresses which were perfect for the theme of my video.” A clip from “Radar” will be included in an upcoming television promo for Candie’s.

Candie’s has also been a sponsor for her Circus tour so it’s a really huge collaboration overall.

Besides, isn’t that video awesome? It’s so close-up it’s almost like the person filming it was right on stage with Britney!

Britney Spears - Mannequin in Paris!

With “Mannequin” being the new song added to Britney Spears’ Circus tour I thought I’d show you what the performance looks like courtesy of all the great YouTube users who share their concert experiences with us!

“Mannequin” still isn’t my favorite song but I like the routine quite a lot. I’m hoping for some better video clips in the future as Britney continues this next leg of her tour. This isn’t bad but the focus goes in and out a bit, which is really the camera, not the person holding it. I found a clip that was even closer but there was so much audio distortion you could hardly hear the music at all.

What do you think of the new addition to the tour?

Britney Spears in Paris

Britney Spears has hit Paris and she’s balancing a combination of having fun and working hard. Her media team posted to Twitter saying, “Just in from Paris: Britney visited Notre Dame yesterday while in Paris for her Circus tour.” I’m glad she got to do some sightseeing first!

This was also the debut of her new brunette look on stage. I think it really works! Blond is good too, but she looks pretty tough with the brown hair, don’t you think?

Happy 4th of July from Britney Groupie!

On behalf of Britney Groupie, I’d like to wish all my American readers a very happy 4th of July! Whether you’re having a BBQ, going to check out the fireworks, or traveling to see family, I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

I’m sure that Britney Spears is going to have a great day with her kids. Earlier this week she posted to Twitter saying that she had spent the day with the boys on a boat, maybe they’ll do something similar.

Although I celebrated Canada Day earlier this week, I think I’ll join the U.S. in celebrating Independence Day anyway! Have a great one!
