b5media has decided to do a little bit of a down-sizing and eliminate some of the smaller niche blogs in the network. Regretfully, Christian Music Fan is one of the blogs that’s being unplugged.

I was really picking up more and more momentum lately though with contacts in the industry and more and more albums that were coming through for reviews and give-a-ways. It’s for this reason that I’m not going to let my writing about Christian music fall dark and silent.

I’m still having discussions through a variety of options on where I’ll be taking my writing and landing with my future posts. One of the albums I’ve been listening to lately and for the last few weeks has been the debut release from Chris Clayton titled “All These Things and More".

Chris Clayton has a true desire and passion for people to live their lives each moment in wonder of the One who gives real life. "My prayer is that people will be reminded that we serve and worship a holy God who is more than we can ever fathom. Sometimes I feel that we often ‘tip our hat’ to God and go about our week without ever encountering Him and recognizing Him for the Holy One that He is." Clayton says.

Chris serves as a worship leader traveling the United States leading worship in various youth, college and young adult capacities. Since 2000, Chris has traveled on a full time basis with a heartbeat to lead authentic worship. "For me, it isn’t about going out and pounding a Bible over a person’s head, but instead striving to reflect God in everything I do. Worship is more about a lifestyle than any song written or any service on a Sunday morning.’

I’ve enjoyed this album as being a great worship experience while I’m on my regular commutes into the office and around town. The album play list is a great mix of upbeat, energy driving songs like "Happy Day" and the title track "All These Things and More", or thoughtful, introspective choruses like "All to You" and "Stand Amazed". Chris even does a great version of "You Never Let Go".

If you didn’t catch it the first time we talked about it, tonight is the night that Third Day will be performing and promoting their new album “Revelation” which released today. Cool stuff for the guys in the band, their fans and Christian Music in general.

It’s been quite awhile since I first shared the music of Tim Juillet on Christian Music Fan site back in January. That hasn’t stopped him from really pursuing his ministry further and making more and more efforts to get the Message he’s speaking out to as many people as possible.

The video above is one he recently completed for his song “America Repent”, which was used by many locations as their anthem for The National Day of Prayer.

Third Day was featured on Atlanta’s local Fox affiliate Channel 5. They perform “Call My Name” and are interviewed. Mac Powell talks about this album having the same rock feel we’ve come to expect from the group but it has much bigger feel because of who they’ve brought in to help produce and develop the album.

Good to see a little bit more movement around the charts again and some great performers on the list but that’s pretty standard each week right?

A little bit of an interesting note though for someone coming up the charts that will be a breath of fresh and new air. Chris Sligh, from American Idol fame, is working his way right up the charts with his song “Empty Me”.

A little more hardcore than my tastes usually like but I still want to be sure and cover some more hard rock and metal groups for people that are interested.

From listening to their songs on their MySpace page it might be something I could start to get interested. It would have to depend on the situation I’m in, it’s not something I would be able to listen to if I were trying to concentrate. Riding my bike or working out though would really get you pumping.
