the return of the pointy toe

According to the fashion gods on Mount Olympus (or is that somewhere in Paris?) the point toe is making it’s way back onto the runway… and the feet of mere mortals.

How does this mortal feel about it?

I’ve got wide feet, and even wider toes - not a happy combination for a shoe like the admittedly elegant “Markita 2” by Type Z:

I think this is one trend I’m going to have to pass on for myself…

I know that is kind of looks like a chunk of abused aluminum, but this coated leather “metallic envelope” clutch purse still fills me with longing :-)

aluminum wallets

I seem to be ridiculously hard on my wallet - I pull off zippers, lose snaps… But I can keep the same purse for years - I’m not quite sure why!

I think that using a hard-sided wallet may be a better option for me - and these aluminum ones from Uncommon Goods come in a some very pretty colors:

I could definitely carry that pink one :-)
