Nurse Jackie, starring Edie Falco, will return for its second season on March 22, 2010 – at the same time United States of Tara starring Toni Collette returns. The cool part is both shows aired in separate runs before but now will air together.

United States of Tara originally aired in January, while Nurse Jackie kicked off in June.

When United States of Tara returns, Tara will have to deal with the knowledge that she’s had dissociative identity disorder (multiple personalities) long before college, like she and her family believed up until the first season finale. I can’t wait for this show to return!

As for Nurse Jackie’s return, what will happen now that Eddie knows Jackie is married?

Locklear will return to Melrose Place on the Tuesday, Nov. 17 episode – less than two weeks away!

In this clip, Locklear is back at Melrose Place looking back at where she used to live. The funniest part is seeing Sydney’s (Laura Leighton) broken photo frame – and it doesn’t phase her.

“The truth is — I really miss this place,” Amanda says on the clip.

The 2012 movie will be released on the big screen on Nov. 13.

Director/producer Roland Emmerich confirmed to EW that there was “plenty to do in a TV show” and that 2012 executive producer Howard Gordon, an executive producer on TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice – would be involved.

“The plan is that it is 2013 and it’s about what happens after the disaster,” Emmerich told EW. “It is about the resettling of Earth. That is very, very fascinating. (2012 writer/producer) Harold Kloser and I came up with the idea and we have the luxury of having a producer on the film who is a big TV producer, Mark Gordon. We said to Mark, ‘Why don’t you do a TV show that picks up where the movie leaves off and call it 2013?’”

“After the movie, there are some people who survive and the question is how will these survivors build a new world and what will it look like. That might make an interesting TV series,” Gordon said.

As if the movie trailer isn’t scary enough, a TV series is in the works? I will have to watch the movie to see if I can see this as a possibility — a possibility I’m interested in watching.

Though it’s not a ratings success by CBS standards, Accidentally on Purpose is averaging 8 million viewers and a 3.1 rating among adults 18-49.

The show has started to improve on retaining its How I Met Your Mother lead-in, THR said.

The less-than-full season order for the show is partly due to CBS still having episodes of Rules of Engagement for later this season, THR said.

Personally, I enjoy the comedy for now. I’m ready for Jenna Elfman’s character Billie to hook up with her roommate/baby daddy/boy toy Zack (Jon Foster). But that’s probably a good thing because it’s made their relationship grow a little. As Billie’s pregnancy progresses we will see what happens.

In the premiere episode, “Pilot,” an image of Anna (Morena Baccarin), the leader of the V’s, is projected worldwide as she speaks about everyone joining together and no longer being divided by country or separated by fear.

As expected, the V’s become a fascination and almost a subject of worship to many. For Tyler (Logan Huffman), a teenaged boy, the V’s are his ticket to being a part of something big and something that offers hope. To Chad (Scott Wolf), an egotistical news anchor who wants to further his career, his exclusive interview with Anna begins his desire to dominate the airwaves. Father Jack (Joel Gretsch), a priest with questioning faith, is hesitant to believe in the Visitors’ righteousness and goes outside of the church in search of the truth.

There are other dissidents who believe the Visitors aren’t who they say they are, including Ryan (Morris Chestnut), who is faced with a life-altering decision when the V’s show up. And to FBI Counter Terrorist Agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell), who discovers, while investigating a terrorist cell, what lurks beneath the alarmingly human exterior of the Visitors, resisting this new world has never been more important — and never has there been more at stake.

Guest starring in “Pilot” are Alan Tudyk as Dale Maddox, Jesse Wheeler as Brandon, Britt Irvin as Haley Gordon, David Richmond-Peck as Georgie, Christopher Shyer as Marcus, Scott Hylands as Father Travis and Stefan Arngrim as Roy. V is actual a remake of the 1980s miniseries about the world’s first encounter with an alien race.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC will air four episodes of V in November, and then return with more episodes in March. Do you plan to watch V?

In a rare industry move, TNT has rescued Southland – after being canceled by NBC a week before its second season was scheduled to start, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

TNT has obtained the rights to show all 13 produced episodes of the Warner Bros. drama – the first original seven episodes that aired last year on NBC – and the six unaired episodes which were going to kick off the second season originally in October. TNT will then decide whether to order additional episodes.

Southland will make its TNT debut on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 10 p.m. Hopefully, that will allow for proper promotion of the show so fans will know it has moved to a new network.

“This is a great win for fans of ‘Southland’ and a perfect opportunity to introduce the series to new viewers,” said Steve Koonin, president of TNT, according to THR.

Honestly, it’s surprising that NBC didn’t give Southland a chance considering the show was executive produced by John Wells, who brought ratings success to NBC with ER for many years.

I hope that Southland kicks butt on ratings on TNT just to teach NBC a lesson. I say that as a TV viewer who gets really irritated when shows I watch get canceled without being given a chance.

And in a new episode to air this Thursday, Nov. 5, “162 Candles,” the characters are trying to deal with the aftermath.

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) erased Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) memories and planted new ones at Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) request – so Jeremy won’t remember that Vicki turned into a vampire, tried to attack him and then Elena, and then was killed with a wooden stake.

But what about Vicki’s brother Matt? He knows something was going on with his sister, so he’s not going to believe she left town and won’t be back. And he is suspicious of Stefan (Paul Wesley), who says he was only trying to help her.

As you can see in the clip above, Elena feels as if she can’t take all of this – knowing every time she sees Jeremy or Matt that she knows the horrible truth. So she tells Stefan to stay away from her.

Here’s the official synopsis for the “162 Candles”: On his birthday, Stefan is surprised by a visit from Lexi, (guest star Arielle Kebbel, Gilmore Girls), one of his oldest friends. Still upset by the events at the Halloween haunted house, Elena does her best to stay away from Stefan, but Lexi gives her some unsolicited relationship advice. Elena and Jenna (Sara Canning) are surprised by a change in Jeremy’s behavior. At Damon’s insistence, Caroline (Candice Accola) tries to get his medallion back from Bonnie (Katerina Graham). Finally, Damon’s offer to help Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) has sudden and tragic results.

I can’t wait to see this episode because I think Lexi is going to make Elena jealous of her time with Stefan. It’s also cool that Arielle Kebble is guest starring as Lexi because I’ve watched some of her movies (John Tucker Must Die, The Uninvited, American Pie Band Camp) and always enjoy her character. But this time she gets to be a bad-ass

So why did Damon decide to help Elena last week to erase Jeremy’s memories? I wonder if the words Elena said to him about being cruel and not caring about anyone really did get to him. Plus, it makes Elena happy, and it’s something that Stefan can’t do for Elena since he doesn’t have the strength to erase memories.
