After July 31st in our year of the Lord 2008 Psycho for Love will be going dark due to forces that were in my control but that I couldn’t overcome. I wish I could elaborate but that would be in bad form. Let’s just say that P4L didn’t succeed as much as I thought it would. And to be honest I’m really not that sad to see it go.

This wasn’t an easy blog for me to do. First I had taken it over from someone else who I’m sure had a different vision for this blog then I did. I had never taken over a blog from someone before so this was a new experience for me. Secondly I took it over mostly for the money and not an interest in the subject. All the other blogs that I do evolved in some shape or another from my very first blog. The concept of the blog was also kind of vague to me. But the main problem was that sometimes it was painful for me to write this blog. The majority of the stories I posted dealt with domestic violence. I grew up in a household where domestic violence was almost the norm. Writing P4L made me relive some memories that would have been best left forgotten.

The only thing I’m going to miss are my readers. Hopefully some of you will migrate to my other b5 blog MyCrimeSpace which has been going strong for two years now and shows no signs of slowing down.

Maybe sometime in the future I will resurrect P4L but until then it’s best pushed to the fringes of my memory.

Do you remember the story of Rebecca Bargy. She’s the woman who allegedly killed her husband by wrapping him in duct tape with a ball gag in his mouth then leaving him for several hours while she went and had a fling with a California guy she met on the internet? Her husband, James Bargy, eventually suffocated and died.

Anyway, her charges were upgraded, or downgraded depending on how you look at it, from reckless homicide to 2nd degree murder.

Dr. Thomas Deering, a Nashville medical examiner, testified at a preliminary hearing that James Bargy could not breathe because of the ball gag in his mouth and the strap tied to Bargy’s neck compressed his jugular vein, contributing to his death.

According to teh Google 2nd degree murder is committed without premeditation (prior thought or planning), but with the intent to kill.

Since I’ve been posting about the murder of Dr. John Yelenic I’ve been wondering why his wife has not been charged since she was shacking up with his alleged killer. A lawsuit tries to get answers to those questions too.

In response to a wrongful death suit filed by Yelenic’s family Michelle Yelenic claims that she had no prior knowledge of Dr. Yelenic’s murder.

The Yelenics just happened to be going through a nasty divorce and Dr. Yelenic is believed to have been killed by Pennsylvania State Trooper Kevin Foley. Foley also just happened to be Michelle Yelenic’s boyfriend at the time of her husband’s death.

Too many coincidences if you ask me.

Police in California are searching for Jesus Humberto Canales who is accused of stabbing his girlfriend, Lucy Preciado, to death with a sword in front of her four children.

Police have found his vehicle and are offering a $10K reward for any information leading to his arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information on Canales’ whereabouts is being asked to call sheriff’s homicide Detectives Kevin Lloyd or Jeff Leslie at 323-890-5500.

Meet 18-year-old Kimberlee Ann Cole of Florida. She caught her 24-year-old boyfriend Joel Goldsmith who is also father to her eight month old child, smoking crack in the bathroom of their house.

So when he refused to stop she did what any level headed woman would have done. She beat him about the face with a toilet seat.

Cole was charged with domestic assault but personally I think she deserves a medal.

Prosecutors tell judge Betty Neumar has 28 aliases:

Ok, so it’s not a thousand. But Stanly County Assistant District Attorney Tim Rodgers told a judge today that Betty Neumar has used 28 different aliases on drivers licenses, passports, and credit cards. I can see how she could use six (five married names and her maiden name) but 28? I’m curious to know what the other 22 are.

38-year-old David McNelis Sr.of Altoona, PA burst into the house of his estranged wife over the weekend. Upon entering the house he grabbed a hockey stick and threatened to kill everyone inside.

He repeatedly tried to strike his wife in the head with the stick but she was able to block the blows with her arm resulting in an arm injury. He then punched his 17-year-old daughter in the face and tried to choke his 10-year-old son.

He was eventually brought down by police pulling his jersey over his head…I mean pepper spraying him after he went for a knife.

So we have charging, high sticking, fighting, roughing, and slashing. Hopefully he’ll be spending a while in the state penalty box.

News Channel 12 in Augusta, GA has reported the list evidence taken from alleged black widow Betty Neumar’s house.

A lot of it is household items which could be used as poison except for Carbon Tetrachloride. That is unless Betty was doing her own refrigeration in the house. According to Wikipedia it was a refrigerant and solvent in the early 20th century but has fallen out of favor due to health and environmental concerns.

Police in Washington County, Pennsylvania have arrested 38-year-old Orlando Maurice Guarino in the death of his estranged wife and their two kids. 22-year-old Ashley Guarino and her children, Dreux Guarino, 2, and Orlando Guarino Jr., 11 months, were found in Orlando Guarino’s home. Early reports seem to indicate that all three were asphyxiated.

The Guarino’s were separated and Mrs. Guarino had a protective order out against her husband. As usual the protective order did no good even though Mr. Guraino had displayed a violent streak in the past…

Her court filing claimed that she and her husband were in a moving vehicle when Orlando Guarino held a car seat — with his son in it — out a window and said, “You wanna see something crazy?”

She also claimed her husband had carried the baby into the house on his hip with a butcher knife in the other hand. He also once drove her to a truck in the woods and said he wanted her to watch as he killed himself, she claimed.

Mrs. Guarino was granted the order the day before she and her children were killed.

Prosecutors say that they are filing first-degree murder charges against Guraino but have not yet determined if they will seek the death penalty. Hopefully they will.
