Irina Wins Project Runway, Season 6

On last night’s season finale of Project Runway, the final three designers showed their lines during fashion week at Bryant Park

I personally liked Carol Hannah’s line the best, mostly because of the beautiful shapes and the great colors she used. But the winner was Irina Shabayeva with a line that was almost entirely black.

Irina had her models wear ridiculous hats that looked like helmets on the runway and I just wasn’t a fan of her line at all…but they don’t ask me.

Because Irina won, her model, Kalyn Hemphill won the model competition. She’ll get $25,000 and a fashion spread in Marie Clare Magazine. This was the first season where we got to see the behind the scenes drama the models go through. I have to say that I just didn’t get that excited about the models’ competition. Did you like it?

All in all, it was a good season. Tim Gunn was wonderful as the mentor, as he always is and Heidi Klum was perfect as the host and judge. I hope there will be another dozen or so season of the show. I’ll let you know if another season is announced.

Christian Siriano was Fierce on the Pink Carpet

All Project Runway fans remember Christian Siriano. He’s the most “fierce” winner the show has ever had. He too was in attendance at last night’s taping of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Here’s a photo of him, looking fabulous, as always on the pink carpet as he arrived.

Heidi Klum Walked in Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Project Runway’s host Heidi Klum is still a supermodel in her own right. She may have a handful of kids and has been in the business for more than a year or two, but she still looks fabulous! She just recently had a child and she looks this incredible again so quickly. It’s just not fair how some people were so genetically blessed!

Anyway, last night this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was taped. The show will air on ABC on December 1 at 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT. Heidi not only walked the runway in the show, but looked beautiful on the pink carpet as she arrived. The style these days is for “big” jewelry and I’ve made a close-up of the rings she’s wearing. Why can’t the rest of us get away with wearing this? She could wear anything and look incredible….it’s just not fair!

Biggest Loser: Makeover Week Recap

On this week’s Biggest Loser, Project Runway star Tim Gunn and Tabatha Coffey from Tabatha’s Salon Takeover joined the show to give the contestants a makeover. They all looked amazing when they had been transformed. They got to see their families, then they each made an inspirational speech to over 300 people.

Next Allison Sweeney put them through a tough challenge where they pulled themselves over 200 feet in the air to cross a ravine. The winner was Rudy and he got to take his family to the Biggest Loser resort for two weeks.

Here’s how the weigh-in went this week:

By losing 134 lbs., Rudy broke another record this week by losing more weight in 10 weeks on campus than anyone else in Biggest Loser history. Liz & Rebecca fell below the yellow line and were up for the vote. The contestants voted and Rebecca was sent home.

Since being home she has successfully run a half marathon and says that she’s now the person she always wanted to be.

Survivor: Samoa – Kelly & Erik at Ponderosa

Have you ever wondered what happens to the Survivors after they get voted off the show? If they get voted off before the jury, they go somewhere away from the island to wait for the end of the shooting. But if they are part of the jury, they need to be able to stay close enough to camp so they can return to witness the Tribal Councel sessions. They go to a place called “Ponderosa“.

I’ve had friends who have been on Survivor give me the scoop about what happens when they are voted off, but it’s so much more interesting to get to see it. Here are a couple of clips of Kelly, the second Survivor: Samoa jury member, joining Erik at Ponderosa:

Omarosa’s Ultimate Merger: Another Reality TV Train Wreck?

After appearing on the first season of The Apprentice, Omarosa has been back multiple times to give the aspiring Apprentice candidates her “wisdom” about the competition. The reality villian was even a returning contestant on the first of the Celebrity Apprentice seasons. You would think we had (finally! mercifully!) seen the last of her on reality TV. But, apparently, not yet.

A while back, I posted a casting notice for a new reality series where Donald Trump will try to help a “TV personality” find a mate. If I had only known that the person was Omarosa, I might have issued a warning!

According to TV Guide, the new show, Omarosa’s Ultimate Merger will have Trump offering relationship advice and helping her find a man. (Now, there’s the blind leading the blind!) It’s set to air on the cable net TV One. If you like train wrecks, this may be for you…otherwise, you may want to steer clear.

Survivor: Samoa – Preview of This Week’s Episode

This week on Survivor: Samoa, there’s another Immunity Idol in play. Will Russell find another one? The man just seems to have radar, when it comes to finding the hidden idols.

Biggest Losers Daniel & Shay on the Today Show

Of all the contestants ever on the Biggest Loser, Shay touched my heart the most. Her story was absolutely heartbreaking and I want to see her reach her goals and learn to live and to love herself. That’s why it was so tough to see her eliminated on last week’s episode.

One of the other all-time favorites for me was Daniel, who got to come back for his second round of Bob & Jillian this season. Last week he was sent home too. It was so sad to watch.

But the good news is that they are both doing well and they sat down to talk to Matt Lauer on the Today show this morning. They tell Matt how many pounds they have lost so far….and the numbers are inspiring!! Here’s the conversation they had:

Tim Gunn Substitutes for Aquaman – Hilarious!

I don’t know how many of you are also fans of the Craig Ferguson Show, but if you aren’t, this is the kind of insane humor you are missing!

One of the show’s regular features is the Aquaman feature where Craig dresses as the “super” hero and gives sarcastic advice. It’s funny all by itself, but after Project Runway’s Tim Gunn was a guest on the show recently, he did this little bit where he stepped in to answer a viewer question on behalf of Aquaman. I love that he managed to keep a straight face during the entire bit and I was absolutely rolling with laughter from it. Enjoy!!
