I may be showing my age here, but I miss the days when MUSICIANS actually showcased their vocal and instrumental skills at award shows. Now it’s just one bad stagecraft wreck after another – while lip synching. I think it’s sad that a woman who is best known for being Chris Brown’s punching bag is capitalizing on that sad story by wearing S and M wear to make herself more relevant.

Now, I’m no prude, but this was gross. Embarrassing to watch. If he’s trying to convince us he’s a good singer, just SING and leave out all the porno dance moves.

Early reviews at Rotten Tomatoes gave it a sad little 4.9 out of 10. Ouch.

Roger Ebert says “Since they know it all and we know all, sitting through this experience is like driving a pickup in low gear though a sullen sea of Brylcreem.” Double ouch.

USA Today writes “”New Moon, the film version, does nothing to add depth to a shallow tale.” Triple ouch.

I must confess that I’ve only read the first book; it’s the ONLY book I’ve ever read that had a really good story and godawful writing. I literally cringed at many of the passages in Twilight, they were that bad. Made my teeth hurt. Anywho, here are some fun clips from the new movie; I did enjoy Twilight (the movie) so I’m sure New Moon will be just as fun.

Here’s the transcript of what she had to say:

After much prayer and months of careful thought, I have decided that next season, season 25, will be the last season of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Over the next couple of days, you may hear a lot of speculation in the press about why I am making this decision now…and that will mostly be conjecture.

So I wanted you to hear this directly from me.

Twenty four years ago, on September 8, 1986, I went live from Chicago to launch the first national Oprah Winfrey Show. I was beyond excited…and as you all might expect, a little nervous. I knew then what a miraculous opportunity I had been given, but I certainly never could have imagined the “yellow brick road” of blessings that have led me to this moment with you.

These years with you, our viewers, have enriched my life beyond all measure. And you all have graciously invited me into your living rooms, into your kitchens, and into your lives. And for some of you long time Oprah viewers, you have literally “grown up” with me — we’ve grown together. You had your families, and you raised your children and you left a spot for me in your morning or your afternoon, depending on when the Oprah show airs in your town.

So I just wanted to say that whether you’ve been here with me from the beginning or you came on board last week, I want you all to know that my relationship with you is one that I hold very dear. And your trust in me, the sharing of your precious time every day with me has brought me the greatest joy I have ever known.

So here we are, halfway through the season, 24, and it still means as much to me to spend an hour every day with you as it did back in 1986. So why walk away and make next season the last?

Here is the real reason: I love this show. This show has been my life. And I love it enough to know when it’s time to say good-bye.

Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and it feels right in my spirit. It’s the perfect number—the exact right time. So I hope that you will take this 18-month ride with me right through to the final show.

Over this holiday break, my team and I will be brainstorming new ways that we can entertain you, and inform you and uplift you when we return here in January. And then season 25—we are going to knock your socks off.

So, the countdown to the end of The Oprah Winfrey Show starts now and until that day in 2011 when it ends, I intend to soak up every meaningful, joy-filled moment with you.

A porno company has posed an offer to Prejean of potentially “millions and millions of dollars” to air her naughty tapes she made with an ex-boyfriend. So far the word from Prejean’s camp is a resounding “NO” but I expect that will change once the legal fees keep mounting up and up. Prejean claims that she was underage (17) at the time the tape and pictures were made, but her ex-boyfriend says otherwise. The porno company is the same one that aired racy tapes/images of Kim Kardashian, Kelli McCarty (former Miss USA) and Shauna Sand, so, you know, EXTRA CLASSY.

I think I would take the money and run, but not before I moved myself to a completely deserted island, changed my name, changed my face, and changed my SSN. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to have your mysterious lady parts splashed all over the place? Ugh!

In an interview with Ladies Home Journal (yes, that magazine is still around), Nicole talks about how becoming pregnant made her breasts bigger – and she loved it (I’m sure her husband Keith Urban does too!). Here’s what she had to say:

“I felt very Woman. When you’ve had a slightly androgynous body your whole life, having breasts is a nice feeling.”

Nicole hosts a weekly gathering of moms and dads of babies over muffins at her Nashville home; she enjoys being a mom and slowing down a bit to enjoy life.

“I was running from my life, in a way,” she said. “My imaginary life was better than my flesh-and-blood life. That’s a sad thing to say, but it was. Now I love my real life so much it requires an enormous belief in a film to want to take it on.”
