Quick kid clean-up tip
If you’ve got more than one child then cleaning up at the end of the day can be somewhat of a nightmare. Each kid has their own sets of blocks, Legos, tiny cars, discarded socks, books, hair ties, and more. It’s not easy to tell who owns what; if you’re the parent. But luckily kids always know which item is theirs; all you have to do is facilitate clean-up.
To make it easy give each kid a bucket with their name on it. These aren’t storage buckets, but clean-up buckets only. At the end of the day, kids can scoot around the house with their bucket and quickly pick-up items that belong to them, then transfer said items to their proper resting place. You can use name labels or a permanent marker to write your kids names on the buckets, or simply assign them each a color.

This is a great idea. Even if they don’t finish the job and sort through the bucket to put everything away, it’s still a big help because you don’t have to bend down and pick everything up.

I love this idea–the very essense of KISS and the little buckets are adorable, too. I included a link to this article on my own blog.
