Plurk: At its worst, the best way to use Apple’s Mighty Mouse

Let’s admit it. We’ve been flirting with Plurk. But please don’t tell Twitter. Having garnered mixed reviews - especially about the Timeline GUI - Plurk is nonetheless a fun social tool that has loads of features that keeps any Plurker hooked to writing his next … well, Plurk. Because the timeline feature works from left to right with the latest entry appearing on the left side, it’s rather confusing for a newbie to navigate through the interface especially if you’re using an external mouse. You’re fine with a trackpad though - but perhaps the best accessory that Plurk can maximize is the Apple Mighty Mouse, with an all direction scroll ball for navigating within that small timeline inside your browser.

The Mighty Mouse was voted to be one of the most unsuccessful Apple products as it isn’t an all around peripheral (have you ever tried playing games with this thing?). But once in a while, we get the notion that the Mighty Mouse can perform in certain areas … like Plurk.

I used to have a mouse that had tilt scrolling on the scroll wheel. Let you go left to right on wide pages. I liked it a ton more than the Mighty Mouse.
